Kay Scheller, SAI President will chair Conference of Presidents as from 1 July 2018
Kay Scheller, the President of the German Supreme Audit Institution, will chair the Conference of the Presidents of the German audit institutions as from 1 July 2018.
On 16 April 2018, the presidents elected Kay Scheller to chair the Conference.
Twice a year, the Conference of the Presidents discusses overarching issues of government auditing. The purpose of such discussions is to develop common positions on these issues, to harmonise positions in agreed areas, to conclude audit agreements and to share lessons learnt from past audit exercises.
The next Conference meeting has been scheduled for 15 and 16 October 2018 at the German SAI’s headquarters in Bonn. The topic of the meeting will be:
“Audit institutions and Germany’s National Sustainable Development Strategy“
Key questions include the following:
- How are public sector bodies positioned to implement the National Sustainable Development Strategy?
- What priority is given to sustainability issues by audit institutions in Germany?
